Rock All-Day-Long

Okay... I haven't been blogging alright... too busy processing videos and also getting stuck with work and faulty computers. Hmm... the house one needs an upgrade too, either RAM or hard disk space... Anyways, it's rather funny to blog about something that happened a week ago. But better late than never rite? Cos it was a great day...

Blown Away at Klang ParadeMe and Ulee started off early in order to give some time to find Klang Parade (for 8TV's Birthday Bash)... Which we actually found in no time!! Hahahaha.... So we were left there walking aimlessly before the show starts. We were hoping to hang around with Farah 1st before the show, but she came rather late, so we just walked around and soon positioned ourselves in front of the stage. Then found out that Fifi sakit perut... ask her to go, dun wan... anyways *cut* There were lots of shows from people we hardly know like those from Project Superstar... hav to admit they can really dance! Then there was also Jac and... of course, Farah. ;D So here comes the extensive coverage... hee hee...

Look at all that power!

Kembali Lagi Di Sisimu

Of course, Farah's 1st single... 6 years down the road and it still sounds so beautiful. As usual, she sing it full of emotion and with that nice style of hers. The crowd was rather good, with all the cheering and support. Just what we love to see. However, I believe the sound system is not up to mark...

Since You've Been Gone

After that Farah sang "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson... Powerful rendition, she feels most comfortable with these pop-rockish numbers. And yeah, that's what the crowd loves too... I love it when she does that backward hopping thingy... so cute~

In-between Break
After her 1st half, Farah spoke on her participation in One in a Million: (note:- experimenting on a slightly higher setting of video, lemme know what you think)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

There was a lil break in the middle in which other performers performed and there were alot of repeating games and cute children... Then there was also Jac's performance. During her rendition of "Lady Marmalade", some of the other performers became guest dancers... it was so cute and funny~

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
And as much as I dun like dat "someone", I just had to put this pic up because it's hilarious! Bagai "Teman Tapi Mesra"... lol

Don't Speak

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
"Don't tell me cause it hurts~!"

For the 2nd half, Farah started with a bang, singing "Don't Speak" by No Doubt. It's been a while since I've heard her sing this, and she did really well... All with her own style. And yeah, she looked this way and held her stomach, signalling sakit perut, while singing! Haha... so funny la she~

Because of You
(note:- video was truncated near the end due to lack of available memory space left in the digicam)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

For her final song, she sang "Because of You" by Kelly Clarkson. Judging by the frequency of her singing this song and how well her rendition is, it's close becoming her trademark. She even sang it when she auditioned for One in a Million~ Hee hee... Btw, she pulled Jac up (unplanned) and did a duet! The crowd went wild~!

Gemilang
(note:- taken using Ulee's handset... so it's not the same quality as the other videos. Oh, thanks Ulee!)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

After Farah's performance, Jac took the stage for the last performance. Then she pulled Farah up (in return for pulling her up earlier...) Then she asked "what song to sing?", Jac answered "that song lah~". Hee hee... yup, it's "Gemilang"~ When 2 vocal powerhouses combine, what you get is nothing short of a phenomenal and fitting finale to 8TV's Birthday Bash @ Klang Parade. Farah suits this song real well, and to have her duet with Jac 2 times in one day is simply super! The crowd was so loud and so sporting!!! (sorry for the lack of quality for this finale video... wish there was more memory space)

Wanted to hav Farah join for dinner, but she had to join her buddies at 1U... a belated birthday do. So it was just me and Ulee... went to Syed at Bangsar for dinner. What a day it was... the whole day out! Wow~

Oh, btw, lemme know bout your views on the slightly higher quality video (Farah talking bout One in a Million). It takes slightly longer to download, but it looks and sounds better. Is it ok to compromise on quality for download times? Or is higher quality but slower downloads the way to go? Hehe...

La-la Through the Night

Haven't been blogging again... well, this time it's because the office computers have been rather messed up. We can hardly work, let alone blog... so oh well... now I have some time... hehe... been thinking and sorting out things a lot lately, improving myself and also learning new things. Also better understood what true friends meant. And well... it's harsh to know some parts, while at the same time, knowing who they are, makes me understand life as a whole much better... anyways...

Arjuna's B'day Party
It was set to be late, but oh well, should be fun right? It was our fren Arjuna's birthday party... So picked Ulee up at Bangsar, Kak Angah joined too... went straight to KTV Ampang at City Square... It's been so long since I've been to karaoke~ When we arrived there wasn't anyone that we know there. In fact even the birthday boy wasn't there. We couldn't call him because he lost his phone + finished up his battery power. Smsed his sis Syafnida but no reply either... hmm... well, we waited a while and eventually he showed up. Met Uptowndragon and his wife too. Hehe... went straight into the room, which was freezing cold. We were later joined by alot of guests, friends and family. There was Arjuna's sis Iera, LeOn, priest, logo, MXV and lots of food + drinks... hehe... Trust me, I can't sing to save my life. Thank goodness Fifi couldn't come! Ulee and Kak Angah sang too, and after many songs, we actually noted that there were lots among us with potential... Of course birthday boy was the best with his excellent Hazami rendition... His actress sis was super too. She can not only act, she sure can sing!!! OmG such a powerful voice... singing sure runs in the family... It was quite a night, ending real late...

But we were forgetting that there was going to be Farah's show at Klang Parade on the next day! Haha... So you guessed it, not enough sleep before the next day. But that's another story, will blog bout that maybe tomorrow, after I've finished processing and uploading the remaining of the videos. For now, prepare yourselves guys, tonight on 8TV at 9.30pm... One in a Million!

Crack the Code

Call for Prayer
It was supposed to be the day I was looking forward to. Yeah it's the free screening of the Premiere of Da Vinci Code... Well, the day started with me finding out from Farah that her 80-year-old aunt had passed away. It was such a blow, because just a few days ago she was ill in the hospital. To be honest, I was pretty clueless at consoling in this situation... but I can offer prayers, and that's what I told her. Hope you're not thinking too much Fifi, she's in a better place and much closer to God now. hope you guys can join in prayer too. Amin.

The Code of Da Vinci
Watched the Da Vinci Code with Jess, asked her out cos Farah couldn't come (she had recording, but was eventually postponed). Fetched her at her place and went straight to MidValley Megamall. Ok, there were many colleagues at the screening this time. you can see almost everyone there, Zali, Eliza S, Eliza M, Farah, Terence, Dinesh, Rash, Maggie, Calv, Val, etc... Kumar was there too... haha... Introduced my lil fren to the rest, but I guess she was rather shy and nervous. Oh, and she wasn't too well either, so I kind of looked at her state a few times throughout the movie. Luckily we were at the topmost row and the aircond isn't so strong there. Ok, the movie... it was pretty good if you asked me, Iwas quite into the story... (dun ask me bout how it is compared to the book as I've onli just started reading it). It was deep, suspensed, sometimes graphic, thought-provoking and an adventure all in one. I especially liked whenever they unveiled a clue or part of the huge mystery... the um... "The Biggest Cover-up in Human History" hehehehe.... worth a watch, even if you're not into the book. Just keep to mind that it's a fiction and you got yourself a nice popcorn movie like Poseidon. Oh, btw the free popcorn that was given to us sucked. It was cold, and the drinks, diluted. But oh well, it's free :) Sent Jess home after the muvee, she seemed weak, cos she's not well... wish I could do something... She said she was ok and would take MC the next day, but next morning she was on MSN as usual and at work... poor girl... (pls take care yea Jessie-kun) Overall it was a good movie day, sure wished Fifi could watch it, she said she'll try to find time to watch it if she can. In a way it's good that she didn't agree to do so, imagine with all that happened, this just wasn't the best of times...

Anyways that's all for now, everyone take care, bad virus going around... I'm still not fully well...

Improperly-Planned Night Outing

Took Ulee out, just for fun, to celebrate her finishing her assignments. So decided to belanja her dinner. But one thing was apparent... there was no planning! Everything was spontaneous. Up to about 5pm, we were still talking online, "Jadi Ke?"... Well, we wanted Myn to join, but the lil pudding just wasn't answering her phone. So we just went with the flow and decided to go to Penang Mari, so that it'd be close enough for her (but we still didn't know whether her parents would approve!). Had to fetch Ulee near her place, cos shr sort of terlajak masa. Didn't ask her why, but nvm la, small matter. And tried smsed Myn again, no answer.

We then decided to go McD for no apparent reason, maybe because it's something that Myn loves? Went there and had dinner. There goes my so-called-diet when I ordered the Quarter Pounder. Oh well, just one wouldn't hurt much... would it? -_-" Come to think about it, even Farah was off her fav meal of beef in order to lose weight for her album. Ohno! What have I done?!! Well, I have been eating veggies and salad and NO rice for the last week or so... and finding more and more chances to run or jog... Myn says I'm mad. But sometimes people ARE mad when there is a reason rite? Anyways, decided not to think too much. I dun wana spoil my meal. Ok I didn't finish the fries, so that should be good.

Called Myn, and she answered. She was having tuition, hence no answer. She was making that sad sad voice wanting McD, but not able to leave the house... Aww... she's just so adorable. Gosh that's just a real bad weakness. So I went to the nearby ATM, got some dough and went to the drive through to get her fries. But no... me and Ulee decided to get her a Happy Meal! Yay... (insert naughty laugh). It came with a TOY PLUTO! Too bad it wasn't MINNIE MOUSE, but oh well... Called her to let her know we're coming over, and also found out her sis was in... XD

When we arrived, we were all giggles with the Pluto. After waiting a while outside her place, Myn and Fifi came out. Of course Munchy went on giving hugs as usual (so adorable). Fifi was dressed really pretty... apparently for a promo shoot for the album... woo... Then she went on to give a ride in her spanking brand new Vios! It was so nice and black, with a neat number plate. After isi minyak and all (she fills up RM20 just like me, I can't believe it, someone actually does that too?!) Oh, and we passed Chal walking in the middle of the road on his handset... err... patut the kakak tegur sikit. Haha... Went to a mamak after that, had to be dark, because Munchie had a bump in her eye (dun wish to elaborate). Farah told alot of new upcoming juicy inside info, and yeah not all can be let out, so sorry. She almost did something in the car on the way back too, if not for a "sign". Haha... Okla I'm not making sense by not mentioning things, but I'm playing safe! After the bye-byes at the house and making our way back, only I realised that we forgot about the Kelly Clarkson CD with Fifi and the umbrella with Myn. Oh well, next time I guess... hehe...

Pretty good for an un-planned night outing eh?

:: Fizzy ::

Hmm... figuring out what to write... blur-blur again...

Yay my pic's in The Star again!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

They printed my pic that I took on the way back from work, bout a policeman pushing a Mini to the side of the road. So helpful... he even put his bike at the side before running to the rescue of the youngster who was driving. I forgot to de-select my name, so it got printed. I'm not too keen on having my names printed somehow... haha... The Star cut out some text and changed some parts though. I wonder why "Mini" was changed to "car" -_-"

Makan @ Manhattan Fish Market
Ellie belanja-ed us lunch at Manhattan Fish Market @ Suria KLCC, so nice of her... Well, actually it was because she was leaving. Kinda sad that she's leaving, cos she's like one of those people I'm close to at work. And not onli her, soon another of my close colleagues is leaving too... sigh. But anyways, one of my buddies might be joining soon, hopefully I'll have some company. Anyway, back to the lunch, it was super. Tried the set lunch, which was similar to the normal dish, but came with extra stuff like soup and free-refill drinks. And it was a new dish too, grilled Dory with mussels... really nice! I didn't take any photos... oops... sowwy... But anyways, thanks alot Ellie! Went to this kewl sweets shop there, that has all these nostalgic sweets and the sort that you haven't seen since schooling days... so super cool! Also dropped by Kinokuniya to buy Negima! Vol.7 (the missing issue) and also iR magazine, which had Fifi inside (haha)... A really funny pic is the one where she was chatting online, and I didn't believe her when she said "they're taking pics of my house now", I said "yeah right...", thinking it was still Myn on the comp. XD And she really DID pose with the piano... haha... can see Munchy and Jihan there too :)

Mother's Day & the Weekend

Mother's Day
Mother's Day went on pretty good, brought my mum to TGi Friday's for lunch, tried the 3-course-meal set, which was pretty fine. We had an assortment of stuff, including 3-chilli calamari and buffalo strips for starters, citrus fish and roasted chicken for main course... I had the BBQ chicken salad, which was real good, and for dessert there were sundaes (HUGE) and double-choc brownie... A very fine meal indeed. Hehe...

Next went to watch Poseidon, which was seriously good... a definite must-watch, especially when there's Kurt Russel (yeah I like his movies) and Emmy Rossum as his daughter. The ship is so supremely gloriously beautiful and luxurious, you just wished you could have a cruise in it... And boy, the effects were super! The part where the ship topples upside-down has-to-be-seen-to-be-believed. Lots of drama and suspense, and I'm not gonna let out spoilers.
GO WATCH IT!

Finally went to Rasta in Taman Tun for dinner... wasn't much of a dinner as we were rather full, but okla :) What a day it was, and I guess my mum was really happy. Got her a packaged Merci too... hehe... Also wished Fifi's mum (hope ur mummy's feeling better...) and Boon-boon's mum Happy Mother's Day too. What a day that was...

Kewl Die-Cast Figure
Saw this in Mid Valley the other day... it's like totally cool, full die-cast model of Optimus Prime from War Within (the comic). Part of the Titanium Die-Cast series, it's rather accurate, although quite small (it's made by the same company as Micro Machines, go figure). Think of getting one... it looks real neat.

BoA's Music Videos
Those who've read my last post might be wondering how those videos might seem, so here they are... The 4 Music Videos from BoA's OUTGROW album. Might need to let them load a bit 1st. Try playing, then when something starts to appear, click "pause" and wait for it to fully load for uninterupted playback. Enjoy ;)

BoA Mania Hits Again!

Went to Speedy Video the other day and spotted it... I thought I was seeing things but no, there it was... BoA's OUTGROW album! OmG!!! There were 3, so picked the most decent one and headed straight to the counter to purchase it. It was a lil pricey, but what the heck, I've been searching high and low for this album. It has taken ages to reach our shores... (and NO, I DON'T buy pirated copies of artistes I TRULY support!)

First things first, like her previous Japanese album Best of Soul (not Girls on Top, that's Korean), this album comes in a big dual-disk case, comprising of 1 CD of music and 1 DVD of videos. I heard that there were 2 different covers, each for different markets, but this package comes with both! I somehow like the 2nd one more, that's totally wicked. Now if Farah's album comes out like that I'd be really REALLY happy. But best not to put hopes too high, after all it's going to be her 1st album. This is BoA's upteenth... lost count liao. And when it comes to album packaging, BoA has it nailed down really well.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The songs are real good, the fast numbers real catchy, and the slow numbers really moving... Everlasting is so painfully sad sounding, yet awesome to listen to. Dakeshimeru is super catchy, Do the Motion's easy going, while Make a Secret's really uptempo and cool. Awesome stuff here... and BoA wrote 2 songs herself, while working on 2 others... ;)

The included DVD deserves special mention. It includes the making of 2 music videos, and 4 music videos from this album. And BoA continues to have super music videos of the highest calibre... They're just breathtaking... let's take a look...

This video's really artistic in the fashion sense that they use... It shows a lot of ballroom dancing, and BoA dressed really pretty in a dress. There's also this other her wearing cute 3-quarter pants and sitting on a bench. Makes her look all-kiddy again... :)

Stylish. One word to describe this one. Awesomely cool, and taking alot of inspiration from the King of Pop, this video is all about slick, smooth moves... Really enjoyed it, it also has certain segments in monochrome, which I find an interesting touch...

Dakeshimeru

Loud, fast, stylish... this is the BoA that fans know and love... looking super hot in a Lotus Elise in certain parts, she starts the video showing off a lil more legs than usual. Kinda shocking, she HAS been rather conservative... but well, she's growin up. The dance moves are slick, fast and loud. She looks the prettiest in this video...

Everlasting

This has got to be one of the most artistic music videos I've seen in quite a while. It's just beautiful, breathtaking... the use of multiple mood-setting locations and the soft-filter lens creates the suitable mood for this song, which itself is plain beautiful.

Oh well, there's my lil ('lil' huh..) coverage of BoA's OUTGROW album. Hehe... sorry, I was just rather excited... If Farah's music videos can come out looking like this, I'll cry with joy. But here's hoping :D

And so the clouds begin to clear...

Last night had a lil meet up wif Jess at nite. I admit, despite us actually meeting up once in a while, she has been one of those friends who understands me the best. So I was quite in a sombre mood, trying to cover up (failingly) and she could see right through me. We had a good talk, and she was really supportive, it was very nice of her. We went to F1 Restaurant in Bukit Jalil... Surprised to see it there, I thought it was only in Puchong. Anyways, she told me to look on the bright side, as things might not be as negative as it seems, and I should pull myself together and go on as usual, as I have nothing to lose. To be honest, I was very touched that she was willing to spend some time at night to go for dinner and talk with me. And she'll be with her usual "You crazy guy! That's what friends are for!". Thanks Jess, you're really wonderful. :)

That night talked to Farah a lil online, and I guess that also made me feel alot better too. She's still in Royale Bintang hotel for One in a Million. She's doing fine, and I'm not supposed to let anything out until the show is aired on TV. Wished her the best, hoping she'll do well... Somehow she senses I want to tell her something, and was asking if I have something to tell her... hmm... you really have a sixth sense. Not to mention 10 altogether right? hee hee... Good luck Fifi...

Btw, here's a lil something I found online... pretty disturbing in places, but it's quite silly...

That's all for today I guess... dun wana talk too much...

Shattered Soul

As darkness falls, the skies open and there's downpour. The loud, blistering rainstorm hides tears from sight, feelings from the heart, it masks the whole body... there is no separating tears from rain... nor the intense pain felt deep in the heart... Why did it come to this, where did it go wrong? Maybe one has never got it inside all along... that one might never know... May the long rain wash such hurt away....

~

Eventful Week~

Wow... it's been quite a while since I've posted... well, I've haven't been able to, so I guess I'll make a summary of the week that passed... hehe

Some Guys Need That Push
Caught up with the preview screening of "Failure to Launch" on Monday. It was an exclusive one, so each person is allowed only 2 tickets. I tried asking Farah (Shamin) for a 3rd, but she said she couldn't... but how nice of her to actually pass me one later one (thanks so much!). The third was because Farah (Asyikin) wanted to bring Yaya along. But Yaya couldn't come at the last minute, so Farah brought Rydee along. Which was cool... I haven't really talked to her up close before. Hee hee... she's just as bubbly as Fifi is. Bought them popcorn in advance. If I knew they hadn't makan I'd bought some too... (sigh, girls and their tak mau makan... ;p) Went into our seats just in time for the movie. The muvee was pretty good, it had loads of laughs and lots to cringe about. Farah especially reacted "oh my God..." during the intro where we see this 35-year-old who lives with his parents and is well taken cared of. Then we laughed so much at all the animals biting him and also the funny chemistry the 2 main characters had. It was basically a feel-good muvee. The story? It's about a 35-year-old dude who lives with his parents, and never takes the initiative to leave, hence "failure to launch" and the parents hire a girl who's an expert in making these sort of guys leave their nest. And you can pretty much guess what happens next. A special note is a side character, Kit, which I found rather quirky and cute. Haha... She has a lotta one-liners... Okla, after the movie, sent Farah & Rydee to 1U's new wing area where a friend is going to pick Rydee home.

Work WorkOk, been working hard for the next couple of days, hoping to improve and do better... Been really a workaholic, coming to work in the wee hours of the morning, and leaving late at night... waaahh~

Dinner with Munchy PieMet with Myn on Wednesday, decided to meet up with her cos we haven't met for quite a while. And I miss her so very much... Ivy, LeOn and Ulee were there too, met up at Penang Mari, cos it was pretty near her house. Had a lotta fun with gossips and so... and she had nasi goreng (as usual... and when I asked, she gave me that look... haha so cute) while LeOn had spaghetti... which I was surprised to find in a mamak stall. Anyways, a lot of cheese sprinkling later, we talked bout a lot of stuff, from taugeh urban myth to Sepet/Gubra topics and Nita gossip... haha... Anyways, forgot to park the car on the correct side and got another round of firing from the TTDI birds... oh no! It didn't last long, as lil Myn had school the next day, so it had to end at 9pm. Gave her a lil honk before leaving, which I guess surprised her... sian... ;p

Oh, poor Fifi lost her wallet the day before, poor thing... she lost alotta important documents in it. All I could do was try to console her, there was litte one could do rite? Wish I cud do more tho...

Take-Off
On Thursday I actually came to work, and tried calling Sifu to ask whether I can get my leave approved. I asked for the leave 2 weeks back. But no answer... apala he. Asked Zali whether he could keep the form for me, he said he'll pass it to Alan to sign. So I left the form at his desk and left for home to get ready... well, I guess I'll continue this in my next post ;)

PEACE and God Bless,
Aris Tee
