First Day at Work...

Wow, the day finally came... My first day at Malaysian Today. Actually my first day is the day after, but I decided to come early to learn some stuff and get a better understanding of how things work. Actually I was late, but 10 minutes late (luckily nobody really cared). There were 3 massive traffic jams along the way... But thankfully I made it there. I was there doing mostly nothing actually... I'm like going from table to table looking at what people do, from Val's table to Angi's table to even Alan's (our art director) table discussing how things work and what I might possibly be doing. He also explained to me this supplement thingy bout this bigshot's (Chief Minister of Sarawak) birthday. 100 pages I tell you! I hope I'm up to it, cos he said it would be good if it manages to be done... Experienced expert Valerie showed me a lotta stuff today. Teaching me bout the network, the type sizes, chanel handbags picture sourcing, adjusting layout... Lots to remember, but I hope I can cope with it. Angi became my sifu today and showed me how to do a layout. It was finally a hands-on thingy... (the whole day was basically accumulating info and skills). Haven't finished it yet, hope to do so tomorrow :-p

Well, although I didn't expect it, but there were some first day blues. Well, lets just say something happened and made me feel quite unhappy. I'm not really in the mood to talk about it right now, cos it's rather... well, you know. :-( so I just hope and pray to God, as I wonder why He always lets me experience this. There must be a reason, but I wonder why... Sigh... :-( Hope you guys can help pray that I'll be able to solve this, even though you dun really know what's going on...

The day ended with me going to meet the rest of the family in Mid Valley Mega Mall for dinner. Bought a whole lot of doughnuts, so the office can expect a dougnut feast tomorrow! Something to look forward to I guess...

Well, that's all for now...

PEACE and God Bless!

Praise the Lord, I Found a Job!

It was supposed to be one of my more packed days... 2 interviews with less than 3 hours in between, and they're quite a distance apart. I was to go to Daily Advertising for an interview at 3, which was recommended to me by my friend Bee Wee. While on the other hand, on the day before, I met Angi online. She asked me whether I'd like to have an interview at Malaysian Today applying for a Graphic Designer. chanel handbags say the fella who's going to interview me would 'surely want me'... I wasn't so sure about that at first, but why would I miss the chance to work with Angi and Val? Hee hee... I gave it a shot, and the editor offered me a job on the 1st of April (he actually asked me to start the next day, but I gave a one day gap and I'll start on the last day of March). You can imagine how happy I am now! :-D It's going to be a daunting experience, but I surely do hope that my collegues would guide me. I really thank God for all this...

Nothing much else to talk about my life right now, the Beetle didn't start the other day, so I did a check on the battery connections, and found some acid build-up. Some chipping and the car could start like normal :-p How I love the Bug, it's so low maintenence... Can't surely say the same bout the Alfa. There's some funny sound whenever the car steers to the left or right. Have to check it up someday, but I only fear the cost :-( My mum says I have to give up on one, and I have a bad feeling it would be the Bug. But I'm trying to make my bro like it. Well, at least if it is passed down to him, it's assured that the car will be in good hands...

Watched the movie 'Hitler-The Rise of Evil'', on DVD. It was quite good, really long, but very detailed. All that Hitler went through, what led him to the brink of insanity and religious intolerance. It is understandable that you might meet some bad individuals in your life, but one must not stereotype all people of his kind to be the same. As for Hitler's case, he deemed all Jews to be bad, and draining Germany of its sources and jobs. Even though he followed the path of God, I believe the devil corrupted his concsicence, and led him to what he did. We must not let this level of religious intolerance reoccur. Respect others for what they believe, feel free to spread what you believe is true, but don't force. May God understand our intentions, and those we intend to spread the gospel. Ameen.

Did a small ad for the Juara Club, was actually meant to be posted on sites to promote the club. Need more members... The logo is finalized although I really do wish we could be more active. Most of the members are working people, so I understand that this might be the main reason of inactivity. Our last event was the Proton Track Run at Sepang... that's quite some time off...

Oh well, nothing much else to say for now, wish me luck for this new frontier I'm entering...

PEACE and God Bless,
Aris Tee
Ad I made for the Juara Club. Mostly photoshopped. The car was originally grey and silver. The bodykits are real, and it's a member's car. Posted by Hello
The first day cover of the GEN.2 stamps... I went through quite a lot to obtain these, as they sold out really fast on that day. But it was well worth it! Posted by Hello
The ticket I used when watching the Formula 1 event in Sepang earlier this month... It was a complementary ticket from my dad. ;-p Posted by Hello

You're Under Arrest!

Hmm... few things happened lately...

I bought the live-action drama VCD of "You're Under Arrest!" at S&M... (quite obvious if you've seen the photos I've posted). It's only available in VCD format so far, I haven't seen any DVD version. If not it shud look better... It wrote "Chinese Subtitles only" on the box, but I just bought it because I couldn't resist it, and also because of the fact that it was selling at RM9.90!!! Bargain wei... original price was RM80+, then it went down to RM30+ at most outlets. This one is that price because it didn't sell I think. Anyways, imagine the happiness and joy of discovering that it actually had English subtitles too? chanel handbags was like "whoa!!!" Watched episode 1&2, and I loved it. I was a fan of the manga and anime, so the drama just falls into place... Episodes are influenced (partially) by the second season of the anime... The Honda Today is like a life-sized replica of the car in the manga and anime, complete with the Volk Racing wheels How I wish I could own one of those, painted into Miyuki's colors...). But still dunno whether it has the nitro (ni-to-ro as Miyuki would say) in it... Natsumi's 'Natumi' bike is there in the boot :-p I love actress Ito Misaki's portrayal of Natsumi. Really cool. Not to mention she's totally dead cute! Kawaii~

By the way, I found out how to post photos using Hello! Pretty cool I must say... But I wonder how do people post a photo IN a post and not as a post on it's own... If anyone nows how, let me know :-) And does anyone know how to add or watch a friend's blog to yours? Let me know~ :-p

My cat Tina gave birth to her 3rd litter of kittens. This time she gave us a shock with 6 kittens! Unfortunately, 2 days after one of the kittens passed away due to suffocation during the night. It was kinda sad, because it was the 2nd to be born, and we have never had any kitten deaths before this. Buried the little fella the same day... Now praying that the other 5 fellows will have better luck in survival...

Oh well, that's all for now. I have another interview on Tuesday in Kelana Jaya. Wish me luck!

Face the Truth, Young Man...

Well, I sure am updating d blog rather sparingly... haf to improve on that. :p

A few turning points in my life happened... Well, recently I saw off my best friends at the airport, as they fly back to their hometown to start the next phase of their lives. Working time for Boon Boon, as well as Chong I suppose. I wish them the best of luck with this. As much as I try to hide it, I can't deny that I was sad on that day. It was a deeply felt thing, but thankfully I didn't show it to them. I don't want them seeing me cry as they leave. I mean... heck, I wouldn't wanna show that I didn't have any improvements on my self... I'm all grown up now, I'm not some immature boy some people have led to believe. I wanted them to leave, happily with no regrets leaving KL and working in Miri. Who wouldn't want to work near their home, eh? :-) Loon-Loon was there with me seeing the off too, but she could see my sadness. I really wonder how :-o But she sorta cheered me up, and we sorta went our separate ways too after that. But that's not the end. No no... Thank God for the internet, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, DA and Blogspot~ :-D

-----------------------------------

Speaking of DA I haven't uploaded anything on DeviantART since Chinese New Year... betta do something :p Recently before the Formula 1 race in Sepang, there was a classic car show in Dataran Merdeka, the heart of KL. I was lucky enough to attend... I never did the previous 5-6 years or so... It was really fabulous, there were tons of cars I always wished I could see in the flesh. There were more than a dozen Rolls Royces (I managed to TOUCH them!!!), a couple of Jaguar E-Types, a couple of Alfa Romeo Spyders, two Ferraris (one a Dino and the other was a Testarossa, which wasn't a classic but awesome anyway), numerous Austins, a Fiat 500, a number of Aston Martins, a really old truck (way cool, with it's barren dash, wooden plank floor and wooden rims!) and many other oldies... It was an awesome experience I couldn't forget! Guess where I'll be wanting to go same time next year? :-D

-----------------------------------

The same day I went to Times Square (love that place), and watched the movie Robots at IMAX. Was totally awesome... the animation was super smooth, but the details and chrome, shiny bits were in abundence! Too bad it wasn't a 3D experience :-p Later in the day, my mum got me Bakuretsu Tenshi (or Burst Angel), which I had waited a whole year for it to come out! It was way expensive, but my mum got it for me. I was so happy ^-^ Watched a few episodes so far, I can say it's top-notch GONZO anime... cute girls (they all are really cute, not the menyampah type...), smooth animation and awesome, eye-popping 3D cell-shading for the mecha (almost a new design for every 2 episodes or so...) It's really wow! Go watch if you have the chance! :-p

-----------------------------------

Hmm... what more... aha, the SRM (Satria Replacement Model) and TRM (Tiara Replacement Model) were recently spotted undergoing winter testing in Britain! Here are some photos posted on the Autoworld website. Way cool... :-p

Hope they launch them soon... they're kinda way overdue. And where's the Waja facelift? And the Proton Supercar/Ultimate? :-o

-----------------------------------

Ok, what else ar... oh yeah, my friend Annie got me a Limkokwing sticker! A big one summore... I didn't really expect to get one, I just asked her in case she could get one :-p I just love car stickers for some reason. I've got a huge 'The Incredibles' one with Violet on my 155 now... hee hee... I passed her a little purse I found in my hometown. It just caught my eye and I remember she liked keroro ^-^ So I got it for her. Glad she liked it...

-----------------------------------

Work, well, sad to say I haven't been so lucky with it... Still have no job... Annie, Kelly, Val, they all have jobs. Me, I sent numerous applications and went for 4 interviews. But still no result... Maybe I'm not trying hard enough lei... But I'm not gonna give up, no no... I'll keep trying. Pray that I'll get a good job with an established firm or company kay? :-)

-----------------------------------

Glad grandma's fine now. I prayed and cried a lot back then, made me feel closer to God. I admit I'm not that close to God at times, I pray that He'll open my heart more and guide me. There are times I just need a moment to see the sky or the sea, and I'll remember the wonders He can do. He's always going to be there, but it's just me that has to remember. Sometimes I wonder why He doesn't answer my prayers, but I realised that there is a reason to everything. The best example I guess is my big crush last time. Tue enough I loved her so much, but I began to realise now that I might be loving her blindly without knowing her enough. I can imagine a relationship world be dead boring and possibly incompatible if we two didn't know each other enough... I have this online friend that I admit I know much better than my crush. Well, I pray to the Lord that He'll let me meet a suitable partner soon...

-----------------------------------

Hmm... what else to say... well, I admit I like to talk a lot. I'm really happy to be with friends cos I get to talk. I can go on and on... That's why I was quite sad when college ended and most of my friends went their separate ways... and also some who went back to their hometown, be it China, Botswana, Batu Pahat, Ipoh or Miri... but I do hope we keep in touch, and as for me, I'll have to move on, find new friends to babble to :-p Well, there's always my new friend who I chat often on ICQ, think about it, I haven't chatted with her for a while. Well, I'd better stop here before I go to far. Till next time then, PEACE and God Bless!

PS: I fixed a bug which caused people to not be able to send me comments! :-p silly me...

Grandma's OK! yay...

Good news, my Grandma's been discharged from the Johor Bahru hospital... Drove her back to my hometown, now she's being taken care by my relatives there. It was very emotional as the whole family was there at JB, and we all prayed that there was no need to use a pacemaker for the heart. Thankfully God is good, all blessings be upon He. Her blood pressure stabilized, and she recovered nicely. It's just like a miracle... And many countless thank yous to all who've prayed, I dun know how else to thank you all. PEACE and God Bless!
