ATTENTION!

Farah's Joins OIAM!
Yeah, it shocked me. In fact it shocked everyone, the judges, the team, family, friends and fans. Yup, Farah Asyikin has joined One in a Million. She told me she doesn't know why, she went to go support her friends who were auditioning, but her heart just felt like filling up the form and auditioning all of a sudden. To be honest, I didn't quite agree with her auditioning, but she says she likes to push herself, trying things and proving herself, gaining satisfaction from it. I concluded that she likes the challenge, and that's why she did dat (salute!). I have my equal share of nervousness and worries, which I shall not state here (ya la... in case you read this la Fifi! ^^). But I respect her decision, it was hers, and me of course WILL be supportive and do my best to help her achieve her goal (sayang her alot). Yeah, looking on the bright side, if this goes well, it might do wonders for her. In fact, it would be like hitting the jackpot, a million-dollar push to international stardom, including promotions, marketing and all forms of help all the way until the she becomes a superstar. And either way, she would still have her album waiting for her... well, even though it is a big risk, but I'm proud of her having the courage to take that step.

I told her, "No matter how this ends, good or bad, I'm with you all the way".

Yup, she won't be by herself, and I believe her family and the Farahnatics will continue the battle, even if it means parting with the money saved for the album, which will of course be put on hold for now. It will be out by the end of the year, and for now, we wait anxiously and see how things work out. It's going to be a tough battle, with Dayang Nurfaizah plus members of the Phyne Ballerz and Ruffedge joining, not to mention the countless new faces that might just blow the competition. So well, I dunno how to put this, but I hope anyone reading this would join in too, as she needs our help now. Well, if you do, I personally thank you :)

It's still too early to tell what would happen, as the 1st eliminations has yet to start, I think it's on the 8th or 9th... I'm not sure... that's scary, as many will not make it through... Just hoping for the best for now. Cross your fingers my friends...

Yeah it's going to be one electrifying battle, but Farah, I have faith and confidence in you. Do your best, we'll be praying for your success and give all the support we can. Go get them girl!

Arm your mobiles,
Top up your credits,

Ladies and gentlemen,
It's time for WAR!

Chit-Chat Saturday

Haha... I dunno why but I've been lazy to post lately... maybe not in the mood. But oh well, I'm here, may as well write :D

Meeting at Dome
It was a fine day, supposed to have a small meetup at Dome at noon. Only a few fellas, small thingy. Then I was running late, smsed Ulee dat I'll be late, and guess what, she's late too... hehe. Makes us even. But the best was yet to come. I then received Farah's call. Sounding really sleepy (trying her best to sound awake, failing miserably... hee hee) she said she just woke up. Hahaha... it was noon... she once said, "from now on, I won't wake up later than 9am"... hahaha... :D

Anyways, arrived at her house at 12plus. She asked to go ahead first, she'll walk. I just told her, "You think I'm gonna listen to you?". She just laughed and said I was persistant. Hee hee... Anyways the car started heating up (my fault) and I started filling up the tank with water. Then came Auntie (Farah's mummy) who was goin to send Munchkin to 1U for her muvee... She asked what I was doing, so I had to tell the truth (oops). Hehe... after dat when she came back she gave me some advice, telling me that being busy shud never be an excuse. Hee hee... I was like "Yes Auntie" (i was kinda embarassed...). But she's so sweet, said I can just use the hose if I need to. Fifi then asked to come into the house, but with all the delay, by the time we wanted to enter, she was coming out already. All looking cool with her new shades (apparently kumpul $ for 3 months). Hahahaha...

We went straight to Dome at 1U, and Jeff joined us soon after (his gf went shopping). Ordered the dish Farah was recommending, Herb Crust Chicken. Was pretty good, although a lil overcooked. Maybe the chef was being a lil over-enthusuastic kot. Anyways had some chit chat and a lil discussion as well... the usual gossips and latest news at the same time. Was nice, although kena cut a bit short, because Fifi had to meet Yaya after that. Of course lil Miss Photogenic here would be the one taking the most photos herself, she simply loves the piece of machinery called the digicam. A number of tak jadi shots, and tons of fooling around... and then came the wonderful dessert. Some chocolate something... Hehe, her favourite food, choc. Shared it, I took a bit, tasted real good, but refrained from taking more, leaving more for the girl who enjoys it the most. Hehehe... Ulee pulak cannot utilise the wi-fi there because her laptop kena some sort of virus I think... and when the bill came there was some sort of error, but we managed to change it. And we got a discount too... :) Waved bye-bye to Farah as she ran down to meet-up with Yaya (picked her up). Me and Ulee went on to the 2nd meetup, while Jeff went shopping with Jessica (his gf). Hehe... Jeff & Jess, so matching...

Meeting at *bucks
Went to Starbucks at Sunway Pyramid. Yeah, quite a distance away, but had this appointment wif a fren there. So me and Ulee went and had a Frappucino each. Haha... Ulee was laughing at us going to all the expensive places in one day... anyways the fella was a lil late but eventually we met up and discussed some stuff before making our way back. Was quite a tiring day. But it was fun and exciting, so I guess it was well worth it... There was going to be the final audition day on Sunday, Farah said she's going there to support her friends who were auditioning...

Well, that's all for this time,

Huh?!

I woke up this morning... kinda blur. Saw the phone, picked it up. There was a message. Read it... stunned. No, no, no... this can't be happening. No, it's just a dream... yeah it's just a dream. Then I went to my comp, there was a message for me. Read it... Oh God no... I can't be... It just can't be... It was a weird feeling, you're shocked, scared, worried... but then again at the same time you're happy and excited. So which feeling is it?! It's like waking up after a weird dream, and finding out it is all really happening... Yeah it is really happening, this is reality...

Life in the Big City

Hehe... Been happy for the last couple of days... reason? Well... hahaha... nuthing much, maybe because of good things happening around me. Even a simple SMS from my adopted sis makes me smile... missing her alot. She's studying hard for her exams, good girl... And there's also a cute phone conversation with "Miss OK" aka Farah... haha... and her cute "OK"s (inside joke). Hope she's recovering from her flu now (Took Scott's Emulsion tak?). Multiply Blog Anniversary
Those who've visited my Multiply blog would have noticed that it's less than 2 weeks to it's 1st year. Not a big deal really, just counting down for fun. Hehe... The Blogspot one has passed it's 1st year and is counting towards the 2nd. surprisingly time flies so fast...

Jam = Petrol Consumption + Stress
Going back from work, there was this real heavy jam (ah, aren't jams the norm in this rainy season)... Suppose to meet my mum at Bangsar at 7.20pm. It was 6.15am. I thought to myself, ok, should be fine... well, let's see...

Image hosting by Photobucket
6.45pm
Just passed Citibank, can see the Twin Towers in the distance.

7.45pm
Yay! Reached the front of the Twin Towers!

Well, after passing KLCC it was surprisingly smooth... weird, considering it took almost an hour to get there... reached Bangsar at almost 8.00pm. Anyways I didn't wanna take any unecessary risk, so I took the NPE, reached home circa 8.30pm... Kinda tired, had an early jump into slumberland...

Spotlight on Mitsubishi i
Ok, before you say 'smart!', keep in mind that this is actually a car developed WITH the smart fortwo when Mitsubishi was still tied to DaimlerChrysler, hence the obvious similarities. Despite being separated now, Mitsubishi is going ahead with the marketing of the i, which is pronounced "ai" and means "love" in Japanese. It's actually a well-built car in the kei-class and there's rumours of Mitsubishi planning to bring it here to compete with the rumored Honda Life's landing. Engine is limited to 660cc, due to Japanese kei jidosha specifications. Which means it's compact, hi-tech and comes with good fuel consumption. It's quite a pretty car, and honestly I don't mind owning one, especially with those cool Roar bodykits...

Not forgetting, cars like these are what we need in order to survive the city... jams, fuel price hike, parking lots... :p

Who Rocked Times Square?

Ok, dun wish to make this a long post, wanna talk bout other stuff but I guess it's better not to clutter up with too many topics.

Firing up OIAM...
It was on Saturday, location Berjaya Times Square. One in a Million has hit KL, and to up the hype and rake in more people to audition (the auditions start today by the way), they've set up a mini concert. I didn't get to prepare anything, there wasn't much time to do so since I've been so busy... Went with my bro, picked up Ulee on the way. She had 2 nice banners with her. Both targetted at you-know-who. Hahaha... Made it there early, didn't have much to do, met Safarina, who was dressed up like she was going to a ball... hee hee... Went to McD for lunch, Detnelat joined us there too. After makan we headed straight to the Ground Floor, where the crowd was bulding up...

Marion and Naz were the emcees, and boy did they do a wonderful job at that. There was good crowd interaction and there was also a new, fatter Blue Hyppo! An gosh, he can dance! There were tons of fun games and singing along throughout the show... And the usual fellas like Ostro and Teng get pulled up to do stuff... hee hee...

Image hosting by Photobucket
What would you do for a kiss from Marion?
Image hosting by Photobucket
Let's dance with Hyppo!

First up was Rydee... hehe I've always thought that Rydee had talent, as she sure wowed the stage. Her deep voice was simply splendid! The crowd was really sporting... (they were mostly Pinkies, which I've always found very cheerful and sporting. hehe...) Other than Rydee, there was Vick, which to me, has improved tremendously... his debut ballad, which is in Mandarina and Malay, was super, full of emotion... thumbs up! The other performers were Nita, Radhi of OAG, V.E, and... yeah, Daniel. Hee hee... he looked great that day, with a new hairdo and a nice outfit. And yeah, the crowd went WILD! Bravo to the Pinkies for the support, they are an excellent example to how fans should support their idol...

"Sedalam Tinggiiii....~"

You Make Me Wanna La-la...
Ok, no need to say more la, I was there for mainly one reason and it begins with 'F'. Fifi aka Farah! Woohoo! Sporting her new hairdo (hee hee) tied-up into a cute ponytail, and wearing just a simple but sporty outfit, she blew away the stage with her new rocker image, full of confidence and intense power! She belted out "Because of You", much to the audiences' applause. She's getting better and better at it, it's as if the song was meant for her.

Next up was "La-la" by Ashley Simpson, and while I admit I really like this song, I LOVE it when Farah sings it! Whoa, she rocked the stage like crazy! She was just electrifying... Ulee brought out her "Farah, you make me wanna La-la" banner... Farah was touched, saying "That's so sweet" :)

Her final song was simply super! "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly again... It makes me so happy to hear her singing my favourite songs, and this was no exception. She did it effortlessly, with such confidence... And guess what, this time she was extra energetic, bouncing on the stage and enjoying herself. It's just so nice to see her feeling comfortable like that. Even Uncle Frankie said "This is the Kelly Clarkson of Malaysia"... hee hee... I remember those were the same words I mentioned to her the 1st time we met... She is, and in fact in her own way (although she will keep on denying and saying Kelly is way better). She finished it off, and received a "We Love You Farah!" from the Farahnatics... What a way to end a performance... You go girl!

After the performance, she mentioned she didn't do too well... Farah dear, you did fine ya, dun feel bad about it. And there is the backing of many, many more people. You did really good, keep up the good work!

Of Makbul and DigiCams...

Apa Termakbul di Makbul
Hee hee... it was a nice day after work, slight jam but overall quite okay... We had a yum-cha session at Makbul @ TTDI. I've always passed the place, but have yet to try it. Normally I'd go to Rasta which is just next-door. Picked Ulee up at Bangsar and headed straight there, then when we arrived at Taman Tun, Farah asked to postpone it to 9.00pm... haha... So me and Ulee were blur and just chit chatted in the car. Soon after that I changed the location and parked underneath a tree in an empty parking slot. Then the back door opened and a person got in... I was like "OmG!" thinking it was a hijack or something... hahahaha... it was LeOn, selamba just got in. He parked his car down the road.
We just chit chatted till it was almost time before moving to Makbul.

Soon one-by-one most of us were there. Not all could make it, but there were quite a number of people that night. LeOn, Ivy, Ulee, Detnelat, Kak Angah, Kak Zai... Farah's entrance was rather funny, with us pretending not to recognize her, but failing miserably due to her usual self being blur... (haha actually dat's cute) She didn't get it at all! It was nice chatting with her after quite some time... got a lotta scoops and juicy news. Oh ya, she got herself a cute new haircut. Looks like ahmoi now... hee hee... She looked ok, but personally I preferred her hairstyle before this, the "Planet Hollywood" look... hehe... but nah, wudn't wanna upset her, later onli tell her... (unless you're reading this Fifi, oops). Btw, as seen from the bottom photos, she should win the award for "most expressive individual"... hee hee...

Okla, I can't tell all here, some are P&H. But it was a nice outing, but Farah ate too sikit la... aduh... she has to keep her weight down, I really feel sorry for her. She only ate some toast. Part of it in fact... Milo pun kosong... (actually I tried that in the office, it was quite nice, so I've been doin so lately. haha) Me and Detnelat tried the roti sardin, which wasn't that good in my opinion... Kak Angah had Maggi, LeOn had Cheese Naan, which looked rather good. Ivy was naughty and refused to eat. Forgot what Kak Zai had, but Ulee's was interesting... kway teow in the same color as Farah's blouse! hahaha...

Kak Zai and Kak Angah...

LeOn and Ivy left 1st, and not long after that we all did too... Went quietly to the counter to settle the bill. When I reached the car, it looked like it was just bombed during WWII... bird shit all over! It was quite a chore to clean it after that. Headed for home after that, giving Fifi a honk as I passed by... XD

DigiCam Kaput
My much-loved Canon Powershot S60 gave way... the lens just went bezerk and extended + retracted repeatedly on it's own, without switching off... then, the unevitable occured, the lens just jammed, stalled! And this just after I went surveying for digicams to trade-in... it was in immaculate condition, no scratches, no dents, never dropped. Hmm... did research and found out that it's a common problem in Canon digicams, and is a fault that Canon doesn't admit to, claiming it's customer negligence. There is one case in the US where the customer is sueing Canon for this matter. Oh well, I'm a peaceful person, I sent it to Selangor Photographers for repairs, might take a month or so, and I can predict it won't be cheap... Is this a sign it doesn't wanna be sold? After all, other than me liking it, even friends do so too... Val likes using it, and yeah, Farah too... haha... It's just easy to use and so user friendly...

Okla, not much else to say, save it for later...

PEACE and God Bless,
Aris Tee
