Myn's 12!

Myn's Birthday Dinner
Lil munchkin was gonna be 12 soon at that time, so I discussed with Ivy and Jihan on what possible things could we do for the girl. First and foremost, family comes first, so confirmation with her family had to be done 1st. Once her mummy was okay with it, we went on with the plan. Which was to have a birthday dinner at a restaurant nearby (which eventually was TGi Friday's). Ostro had a lunch plan, which he went ahead with, and because he told Myn he wasn't coming to the dinner, it made the whole lunch surprise even more unexpected... Farah's plan was to pretend she wasn't coming while she went to get Yaya... OK, I admit it was a lil hectic, cos I planned the whole thingy, and this time it involved Myn's family and all, so I really had to make sure things went fine. Did the booking, which was in a slight mess, due to the operator giving me the wrong contact the 1st time around. Managed to settle everything in place AND finish work on time... When I came to Myn's place to pick her up, somehow she knew most of the plan! Kinda shocked... well, she is a smart girl after all... Me and Jihan shared the cake cost (which I still owe her btw... so sorry ya Jihan!) and met there at The Curve.
When we got there, got the seats, 10 places. Me, Ulee and Myn arrived 1st. Jeff joined us at almost the same time. We later got messages from Evon and Teng that they couldn't make it. Ivy and Mandy joined in, then followed by Farah, Jihan, their mummy and mak long and Izwan...







Told Myn she can order anything she wanted cos it was her special day. So she ordered Cookie Sandwich (which looked awesomely yummy) and Smothered Steak (I ordered it too... hehe). Then I called her "queen for a day", Farah added, "Nah, for a few more hours only..." haha... We had a lotta fun chit chatting and all... taking pictures and goofing around. I was seated near Myn, her mummy and mak long, so chatted with them ;) We whispered to the waiter bout the birthday, so Myn got TGi's trademark birthday celebration... haha...

Myn had some trouble cutting the cake, which was kinda hard, due to it being an ice cream cake. It was peppermint green, which rhymes with myn, and is the same color as the clothes she was wearing... hehe... Eventually her mummy took over the cutting. I wanted to help cut, but then comes big sis to the rescue... insists that she cut it. Hee hee...




The cake was lovely... it's been a while since I've had an ice cream cake. And so glad Myn liked it. I was wondering what Jihan would be getting... hehe. Had some short chats again, including "the most embarassing thing to happen to *****" which I wun elaborate, as a sign of respect ;) took more shots and Myn was all happy and rolling when I sent her home. Took pic by the fountain with Mandy and Ivy and almost fell into the pond...





We got kinda lost in the car park, and I was worried cos her mum pesan to me to fetch her home on time, cos her dad is strict (schooling day). Sent her home, apologised to mummy and sent Ulee back.. then found out Myn left her phone in the car! Sent it back to her house. She looked all worried and all, I told her it was okay. Wished her happy birthday again before going home... (so happy she liked the bag I got her...)
Myn's Birthday Party
Friday came and it was more celebration for Myn... haha... there was her birthday party at her place. I was running really late due to tons of work and late stories coming in. Was kinda panicking cos Myn told me it starts at 8pm. And there I was looking at the clock and it was just 5 minutes to 8... omG... Well, munchkin told me it's ok to not be on time, but I wouldn't wanna be TOO late, it just doesn't seem nice, and besides, there is heavy traffic on Fridays. Got a call from Ulee, she told me she was gonna be late too, asked whether can tumpang. So I picked her on the way and we bothe went there. Wow, there were so many kids! All were Myn's friends and they sure had a lotta fun. LeOn and Evon were there, and somehow we felt old when we saw them playing. But they were all so darn cute! And like Evon said, so matured for their age... Hehe...

The food was lovely! There was this nice appetizer of grape and cheese cocktail (which I thought was grape and nangka... mak long laughed at me.. hee hee!) and there were lots and lots of kuih, mee hoon, kway teow, drummets, jelly... wow... such delicious home-made food... We had a great time! Herman and Arjuna plus sisters came after that and joined us. There were lotsa people, even Yaya, Jamil and the rest of Farah's usual buddies... her cousin was there too ;)







We had fun chit chatting and watching Myn playing and singing with her friends. Farah was the party coordinator... haha... she's so cute playing with the kids, you can tell she loves kids... She then came over to the table where we were sitting and gave some dieting "tips"... lol!

She then proceded to have a bite of cake!

Even during her sis' birthday pun Farah's quite busy signing stuff for the kiddos... hee hee...



After all the games have ended and some of Myn's friends started hoing back, there was the opening of the presents! She received such lovely presents, like a jigsaw puzzle, a jacket, cute room slippers, teddies and assorted cute stuff, and even a portrait of her, all painted! Wow... such a lucky munchkin... Farah was really naughty, saying "thanks dear..." everytime something interesting is unwrapped... she was just playing, but Myn's reactions were priceless!


Farah wore Myn's slippers when she didn't notice... so funny!

It was all fun and laughter after that, Farah was lying on the floor in exhaustion and I took a pic (dun worry Farah, I'm not posting it... haha...). Soon headed to the gate to go home before it was too late. What a day, and I'm sure Myn feels that it's the best birthday she ever had...

I dunno why but I'm so in love with this car... I know it's not as pretty as the European 4-door hatch Honda Civic, but it's still a beauty! Spot the difference, the European version:

Really lovely car, gorgeous interior... those futuristic dials and dual-face display... the space at the rear... those cool wipers... paddle-shift transmission... wow... Better stop dreaming, hehe...
