Oh Yeah Oh Yeah~

Oh Yeah Oh Yeah~

Writing another entry out of sheer boredom... mostly of events or whatever nonsense that occured during the last couple of weeks or so~

Chelsia oh Chelsia~
I bumped into Chelsia Ng yesterday at Bangsar. Well, not really bumped. I'm surprised myself how I could still 'stone' at such moments... wasted opportunity... Wished I had my camera with me, she was so gorgeous~

Localised Boss Coffee!
I went to 7-Eleven with Iwene yesterday and I got a wonderful surprise... Boss Coffee from Japan... sold there... and wait for this, the best part is that it's a local version, meaning LOCAL PRICES! I got myself a can of the original. Oh yeah~ this has got to be one of the best news for Boss Coffee fans here everrrr~!

Karen's 2nd Album Finally in Stores!
Yups, before this you could only get Karen Kong's new album Showtime at her concerts, teaching the stores a lesson that you SHOULD stock her albums. Now when the company finally releases them, all the shops scramble to stock Showtime (btw this 2nd album rawks~).

Way to go Karen~!

Dunk'Em Booth
Malaysian Today recently had a booth in the Berjaya Carnival called the "Dunk'Em Booth". It was our first time being part of the carnival, so we wanted to get ourselves noticed. The mechanism for the "dunk" was sponsored by Desa Waterpark, whose booth was just beside us. The assigned team to handle the event, which included me (there are 6 in all, including amazing intern Elvina, who managed it rilly well), were given the task of decorating and managing the actual booth. And that includes the handling of coupons, prizes, volunteers, crowds, etc... And I assure you it was no easy feat. We got a lot of help with the decorations the day before from the graphics team (Sifu Alan & Zali) and also from Ghafar (hehehe). Ok here's how it goes, you purchase 3 balls using 3 coupons (equivalent of RM3) and that gives you 3 chances to shoot a target (a pic of Mr.Turtle). Hit the target and the guy (or gurl) volunteer gets "dunked" into the water. You get a prize token which can be exchanged for wonderful gifts. Sounds easy enough right?

The booth saw one of the biggest crowds during the carnival, which I admit made me smile as we worked so had on it. The whole booth also worked so well because of the wonderful volunteers (Doris, Thinesh, Mathu, Niro and Jason) who handled the crowd in between dunks and were so super sporting. I really wished the didn't get hurt during the event (Doris had a big scratch along her arm and the guys had lots on their wrists. And I heard they all had backaches and flu... poor things), but I admire how they still manage to smile and joke about it. Trust me, towards the end, the water was tainted with mud and so murky (did I mention some water goes into your mouth during dunks?)... They are so amazing (salute!). It was really tiring for all of us as there were not enough people to handle the event, and there was an extremely low budget allocated (RM50). I didn't even manage to play any games at the other booths or even eat during lunch break (a Slurpee and a Coke was all I had). But we somehow managed to make the best out of it and also have lotsa fun! Oh, btw we won 3rd place for "Best Decorated Booth"! If only they knew our budget... lol~

SNSD Album's Out in Stores!
Yup you heard me right, just like my calculations based on the time that BoA's albums take to reach our shores (which is about 2 months), So Nyeo Shi Dae (소녀시대/SNSD/Girls' Generation)'s debut album has hit stores. We actually receive the Taiwanese version which is still basically the same but with some chinese translations (I wonder why). Stocks seem rather limited as I see roughly 1 unit per store (Tower Records, Rock Corner, Fantasy, etc). I bought one myself. And I hope any of you guys who like their songs would do me a favor and go purchase a copy. And ask your friends and family to buy a copy too!

Why? Cos I want their sales to be real good and encourage them to come to Malaysia for a CONCERT!!!! Heeheehee~ (That'd make me so happy, and even if our local rules for artistes spoil it all, I wouldn't mind going to Singapore to catch them. Screw the stupid rules~!)

Food Galore
OK let's see some glorious food!!!

Recently went to Kajang to have some satay and got a real shock when we found out Hj Samuri has it's own premises now~

Ever since Sri Murni closed down we've been searching for a successor for the best Roti Planta in town, and I guess a Curry House nearby home comes pretty close~

And of course the best chicken rice of all still remains at Sin Seng Nam near the courts and Central Market~

27.02.2008 - BoA - THE FACE
BoA will be releasing her 6th Japanese album this month and it's the time of the year to be all excited for the next big thing (all her albums are hawt). The new album titled "THE FACE" should include her recent hits like Sweet Impact, LOVE LETTER and Lose Your Mind among others... plus new songs and there's also a limited edition version with 2 (yes, TWO!) DVDs... I just can't wait!

Limited Edition (1 CD + 2 DVDs):

BoA's Entering US Market!
Well, as if that's not exciting enough, BoA's going to enter the US market this year with an English album! Yea, I guess this was the reason she had to hold back her Korean album as well as rejecting her role in Kungfu Dunk. Besides, it'd be dreadfully awful to have her acting next to Jay Chao (cos I rilly dun like him and he sucks, acting and style-wise that is... my goodness why him as Sakuragi??? And I don't like the thought of BoA being his love interest... bluekkk!). The movie has changed so much from the original Slam Dunk story that they even changed the name as the concept is different too (why oh why??). OK back to the US debut... As a fan I do admit I'm worried, as you know, the US isn't that accepting towards Asian artistes and BoA has quite a heavy accent, which might not go down too well with the Americans. But I'm remaining positive, as I believe if BoA gets good material for the album and follows her Korean style, she should do well. Let's hold hands all together now and wish her luck~ BoA's going to the US baby!

OK, gtg... have a wonderful New Year everyone~!

PEACE and God Bless,

Aris
