Farewell, Smokey

I was going to blog bout lots of other things... but I guess they all can wait. I've just reserved this post for one topic and one topic alone. My cute lil Smokey Robinson has just passed on. Yeah, the cute, cuddly lil tot, who never really grew till the end. He stayed small, even though his sibling doubled in size. The doctors said he had only 2 weeks at most to live. But out of our love and care, he managed to live much longer than that, and I do believe he lived a good life, even though it was short. I'll miss lil Smokey. How the lil tot would run here and there chasing stuff, and how he manages himself around much larger cats in the house. I would have loved to see you grow up, but alas, it just wasn't meant to be. There just won't be another cute micro cat like you...

Rest in peace Smokie, we'll miss you...

A brand new day awaits...

Yup... I'm posting again. Haven't done so in ages. I really must say I haven't been in the best of shape lately, trying my best to cope with what I've been facing. Improving myself and undestanding myself better. But it's not like anyone reads my blog anyway...

It's been harsh, things have been really hard on me. I'm not a perfect person, I know no one is, but blame myself for trying to be one. The next couple of weeks or so would be the hardest I have to face yet, as much as I wana elaborate why, I just can't. It's just too... personal. To my closest friends who partly know what I've been going thru, and those who have offered me lots of advice from different angles, thanks so much and God bless you. Even though you guys might not have heard the full story (yeah I never revealed to anyone), all that you have done for me are much appreciated. I'm not a quitter, never was, and God-willing, never will be. I'm going down a narrow path that has little or no likelyhood of success, I'm gonna stare at defeat straight in the eye, and pray to God that I will not crash and burn. This means a lot to me, and at times, despite how hard I try, it somehow still just isn't enough, and I feel that may be why things always go wrong. But whatever happens, I'll just keep my heart strong, knowing I have tried and done my best, and just hope that things will turn out how I wish and pray it would. Now it's just up to me to face the truth, be it good or bad...

Hmm...

You know... once in a while, there comes those days, where you sit, you think to yourself...

Where is this heading?
Have I done enough?
What if...?

Then all these thoughts just come rushing into your head. Like a broken dam, overflowing with water. You stop, you look at your actions... and you ponder... yeah, going thru such a phase now. Trying to be calm, have to think rationally, calmly like a 23-year-old. Yeah, I know I wanna be more matured and older, but I'll have to make do with what God gave me. I'm thankful for what I have, and I'll do my very best to achieve what I hope for. Slow and steady. A step at a time. Wish me luck...

Everyday's just another rollercoaster ride...

Aargh... time management is so tough... everyday is another plan, another headache of events. There's just too much to do everyday. But I guess I'm doin quite ok... Trying my best to cope with things. It's hard enough that you have to rush off after work to do other stuff... then you have work that doesn't come in on time, doesn't finish on time. The stress builds up as the clock hands move... gosh I can't describe to you how it feels! It's especially worst on Fridays. Fridays have the worst workload, and yet I have to leave as early as possible as I have so many responsibilities. A number of people depend on me for transport, a number need me to get them passes to SP2, and I have to be there to support Fifi... but at the same time, at work there are pages which I keep getting each week, and it's like my responsibility to finish it off asap in order to let everything go with the flow. And there's car business and payments and appointments to add to the mess. I'm just juggling all these for the last few weeks or so... and will continue for the next few weeks or so I guess... Will toughen myself up with more determination and get thru this...

Fun Times Are Back...

Goodness gracious... I haven't posted in ages... so much to tell, so little time... Ok, better start then...

Chong Visits KL
Yay!!! My best friend visits KL, who wouldn't be excited if you finally get to see the fella after 2 long years... Woohoo... he came wif his dad and stayed at Cititel @ MidValley. It was so much fun to have him around. Like he said, it was as if the 2 years never passed, it was like old times, as if we never were separated and the days just continued... gosh, how I miss him around to hang out with (and Boon-Boon too...).
Went to Limkokwing to get his cert (yeah finally!) but as usual, they had to delay it, and for hours! Goodness... met Daniela too. Miss her lots. She said we both didn't change at all. And she noticed my red hair! hahaha....
After we finally got the cert, we went shopping! Gosh, 3 days of shopping... and yeah, Chong, your dad's so hyper... can run wor. hee hee... okla, I wun go into details of the shopping. But I sure had a great time... I took leave in order to make sure I can spend more time wif them. I ajak Chong to go to the One in a Million show so I could intro him to Farah, but he didn't want...
The last day came all too fast. Went to the new terminal at KLIA, it was for budget airlines, but they shouldn't have made it so budget-looking. Kesian the Air Asia folks... anyways, had a McD meal and I set off, hugging them bye-bye. It was just so fast, wish days like these could last. I guess till the next time we meet, either in KL or Miri...

Hit Me Baby One More Time
Yeah, the Top-12 show came, and Fifi actually chose to sing "Baby One More Time". I heard her sing that song spontaneously during our mamak session last time and I loved it. Told her she should give it a try and she did. It was just beautiful, she changed the composition, the style and tempo, something like a slowed-down version of "Since You've Been Gone". Definitely one of the best performances that night. Like Paul Moss said, "In a sea of boring performances, yours was outstanding...". You go girl! Almost everyone performed well that night, and it also marked the debut of our enormous banner campaign. We had lots of fun that night...

The Big Rush
Things went pretty hectic the next week, with me trying to finish as many pages as I can, as quick as I can. Trying to earn myself a "leave early" pass... I gave up on going to see the Pussycat Dolls (you know how much I wanted to see them...), cos when given the choice of seeing Farah or them, Fifi's still my 1st choice. Oh yea, she got her 1st cover, and I'm so so happy that it was me who did it... lots of the staff said it was the prettiest cover ever... (she's gorgeous, isn't she?). I couldn't remember how many times I re-did those pages... it wasn't really perfect, but I tried my best...




Also getting to know the new staff members better... Sock Boon and Awien are such sweet gurls. Very cute & friendly... and Sani too. Friendly chap. There's Susan, who's sometimes very enthusiastic bout her work... okla, I'm doin my best to make sure working life works out for me. Been cooking more often now. Bringing lotsa new stuff to cook, longgok into the fridge (had to make space, there's hardly any. even for eggs!). I admit it's a whole lot more fun to finally be able to cook properly for lunch, and I save money too :)
