The Food Entry
Ok it's been ages since my last blog, I admit I've been too lazy to write lately, especially after being so busy at work all the time. Work has been building up lately and a slow and laggy computer doesn't help. Thankfully the CPU has been replaced with a better one (was changed 2 times in one week) and things seem a lil better, except the occasional system crash. Haven't met up much with friends lately... mostly because I've been too darn busy most of the time. Sigh, need to find time to catch up... Jess, Myn, Fifi, Baloon, Nita, Subs, etc... Fasting month has been good up to today, I don't really feel that hungry... more of a thirst thingy. But it's a good time to lose weight... going on the occasional walk during lunch time.
Anyways, trying to recap on interesting stuff that happened since the last entry. Sorry about the sloppy writing, I'm just not in the mood at the moment to write long essays... Btw, this entry's called "The Food Entry" because there are lotsa food featured this time around... heehee~
A Helping Heart~
Before I start, I just wanted to spread the message about fellow member of the Tee family, lil Tee Hui Yi, who is currently using a mechanical heart and needs a donor as soon as possible. She's even from the same hometown... Hui Yi's just a normal cute 14-year-old girl, and still has a lot potential to discover and explore life. She was diagnosed with end-stage heart failure when she was just 2 years old, after a viral infection. Gaining a mechanical heart in 2005 from another patient who received a donor, her heart is said to last for only another year. She carries a 9kg battery to power her heart and it hurts if she walks too fast. She has received 4 willing donors in the past, but none were compatible with her. One of the saddest things was hearing that she misses mum's cooking, she's grossly underweight and she now has to be fed via a tube through a nose. And despite the frustration she might be going through while awaiting a donor, she even pledged to donate her organs if the inevitable happens... such an angel... I sincerely hope she gets a heart donor soon and has another chance in life. Ameen~
Whoever has any info on how to help her, do contact the National Heart Institute (IJN), because the longer she waits, the greater the risk of her facing multiple organ failure...
My Muzix Emptied
The "My Muzix" folder in my Multiply Music folder used to be where I put most of the songs that I have placed in the 'reviews' here, so that everyone can listen to them and let me know what they think...
But the Copyright holders of some of the material requested under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) for me to remove one or more songs from this playlist (they didn't mention which one... sigh) or action will be taken, including removal of my account, which is a risk I'm not willing to take.
So to be safe, I took ALL songs from this playlist off. It saddens me that I can't share my favourite songs with my buddies, but I guess that's the way it goes. Wish they mentioned which song, so it wouldn't be so drastic. I might find other safer, non-violative ways to share (thru snippets of songs, perhaps?) in the near future.
Anyways, thanks for listening to the playlist (it was nice, while it lasted)...
Comments are still welcome :)
4-in-1 Birthday
Had a wonderful birthday dinner with 3 other birthday children at Palace of India. Wonderful place, delicious food. And there was a cool cake as well... hehe... had a nice night, despite being a hectic day~

Spring Cleaning
Did some spring cleaning recently and recovered some interesting stuff...
Ancient portable shuffle radio...
Prehistoric modem from 1997...
Subs Leaves MTSubs (aka Suba), my adopted big-sis in Malaysian Today left us recently and her last day was a really emotional one where we all were hugging her and listening to the farewell speech. She was someone I always felt comfortable with at work and now that she's left, there's this emptiness in things we used to do... Will miss her lots, hope all's well for her now (she promised me we'll meet up lots).
Jazz & Jazz
Remember G1 Redeco Jazz? Here he is next to his movie-colored brother~ :D
Birthday Surprises
Well, it's been some time since my birthday, so I really didn't expect anything. But yet, 2 lovely presents came... I'm like omigosh!
Nike Booklet (feat. BoA!)When I opened this package from my best buddies (a.k.a bro& sis) in Miri, I was stunned. I just sat staring at the chrome cover of this booklet. It was a rare official booklet by Nike, which featured BoA (and a few other personalities) from the recent Nike Women campaign she participated in. This was the Taiwan version... and they got it from eBay!!! It was gorgeous, all the photos (I wanted the posters badly, but Nike wouldn't let me have them...) in a small package. I took special care not to damage it, and I took lotsa photos so that my pet-siblings in Miri can see them (they didn't even open as they dared not risk it... are they sweet or not?)... Love you guys, thank you sooooo much!!!
In case some of you might wonder what the heck is this all about, here's a quick flashback of the various posters I've come across in my great quest for BoA's Nike posters...

Who knows, maybe one day, those poster might really turn up on eBay... heehee...
Bug T-Shirt
Irene surprised me one day with this really cute t-shirt! She and Eliza (Sanjivee) shared this gift for me... Thanks so much you two... :)
Waterlily CafeWent to Waterlily Cafe again... I love this place, they have excellent lamb chops and they're very generous with servings. The open-air atmosphere and candle-lit lighting adds to the experience (although we went a lil early this time).
Wooden benches are the trend man...

Mango ice blended (real mango!)
Dalina's Birthday
Celebrated our adik at office's birthday recently... Farah (we call her Dalina now in order not to confuse between the 2 Farahs at work) never saw it coming. Only 19? We were like OmG... I came over to the office even though I was on leave, Val too and she still never had a clue. When we went to Kenny Rogers for lunch she was so excited... lol... had to distract her as well while Val and Irene got her a cake~
Chicken Rice
Oh yeah... how can anyone resist chicken rice? Went for lunch at the nearby double-storey chicken rice restaurant on the last day before the fasting month. Has the bbq one~ Goodie goodie...
Justin's Birthday
The same day just happened to be Justin's birthday, so in typical office fashion we had a simple do with cake and snacks and drinks... heehee...
Taking a Break
Power Up VT6 at my desk having a break... (with all these food posts everyone needs a break) Wish I could sleep at work like that lil icon on the computer screen~
Johnny's Delight
Comemmorated the end of the 1st week of fasting by going to Johnny's 1U. With all the soupy goodness and delicious sauce coupled with the fragrant roasted coconut, this is a real joyous delight~
Fried Oysters
And you'd think that the food spree was over... I've been snapping lots of food pics lately... this one was taken at supper time after a movie. The yummy oysters at the open-air food court in Puchong. Woohoo~
Pavilion
Pavilion's the latest addition to Bukit Bintang's awesome line of mega shopping malls. I went there two days in a row (the first time around wasn't enough!). Just opened the day before I visited, this enormous shopping mall in the heart of Kuala Lumpur was a sight to behold. 6-and-a-half stories of pure shopping paradise... The theme of this mall seems to use a lot of clear glass, which is rather nice in my opinion... it creates a feeling of spaciousness and is really fresh. The main tenant is Parkson (6-stories!), with Mercato and Tangs among the many supporting stores. There are TONS (600-plus I think) of shops and from what I've seen I'd figure it's only 70% filled at the moment with lots more to come. All the shops are very well-designed and even the common ones like Speedy and Times (they also have a Giordano Concept there) have such lavish designs and interior layout. The mall is HUGE and there's no shortage of room to walk.
Overall, should be a nice place to hang out and it's a rather well-designed shopping destination, one can just walk around and enjoy the interior layout. There's even a Jaguar showroom! It's also a real food paradise with one floor catering only to food and dessert... (I saw a Korean restaurant coming up on the 6th floor as well next to the upcoming Angus outlet). Only time will tell if it can face the tough competition from neighbouring shopping malls like KL Plaza, Lot-10, Sungei Wang Plaza, BB Plaza, Lowyat Plaza and the mother of them all, Berjaya Times Square (man, that's a LOT!). My only gripe was that their parking fees were high (similar to nearby shopping malls though).
PS: The escalators in the middle circle section are super scary (esp to those afraid of heights like me)... There was also a nice lil Korean fair at Mercato where I managed to meet a sweet Korean gurl (she's so cute~).
(too bad a customer called her as I was about to snap the pic)

September Hauls
Kinda overshot my budget this month... but managed to get a few key figures before stocks run out. Next month things should be calmer and slower (I hope so...) than this month... heehee...
Rescue Ratchet
This figure's really cool once you've tried it in the flesh. It's the G1 redeco of Ratchet, turning him back to an ambulance (and he looks like a nurse in robot mode)~ Oh, and mine has a defect on the left window, it's slightly off in the paint department. Darn... apparently I'm not the only one having this problem... anyways this one made me a lil sad as it was sold at an inflated price :(
G1 Redeco Starscream
My cousin bought this for me last month, but I haven't posted it before (it's still in the box by the way). Pretty neat, except for the weird Thundercracker head (well, it's actually a Thundercracker repaint). Anyways, raptorclans finally gets the raptor... lol~
MA-13 Twin Blaster Optimus Prime
This one was ordered from Japan the previous month, and I was the first to collect it... heehee... paid only the remainder of the sum as I've passed a deposit earlier. Awesome figure, even though it is in need of some paint applications, the mold's really well done.
Oh, and one more thing, he actually fits my vintage God Jinrai trailer (doesn't really hold, but the scale makes it an interesting subject to shoot).
Dreadwing
I got him from Pavilion, as a fan of the original G1 Dreadwing (he was supposed to be 2 characters!), I was really into this chap. Although not exactly the prettiest of the Transformers, he's quite a quirky-looking fella, and looks best in jet mode...
Okla I've got some more stuff to blog about, but I'll save that for later~
PEACE & God Bless,
Aris
