MT Leaves Jalan Ampang
Yeah, Malaysian Today finally decided to move after a few false delays... The packing of stuff was actually tougher than expected, as we already were used to working there. But surprisingly the bulk of my moving was done over a period of 3 days. Backing up of the computer, emptying of drawers, packing of stuff (including mugs, items collected over the years and CDs) and dismantling of computers. But I admit moving was loads of fun~! We had to bring our cpus home in because we were held responsible for our own computers and it would be better than risking them damaged by the movers. Leaving the old office was sad though, because of it's homely atmosphere and open air (free) parking... But moving has both it's pros and cons... Anyway here are some pics from our move... Went to Batu Pahat that night to do some stuff... yeah, I know it was such a rush right after packing stuff at work, but it was important... Went to try something new that night... Sup Gearbox! It was a pretty interesting dish, not to mention yummy!

MT Lands at Plaza Berjaya
We move into our new office at Plaza Berjaya the following day. Yup, one day I was in Johor, the next I was rushing back and straight into the new place. And before you get confused, Plaza Berjaya is not:
Berjaya Times Square
but the building opposite it. The Imbi Monorail station connects these two buildings (which are owned by the same company). The moving in was quite fast, we carried our cpus up the lift (they weigh a ton!) and started unpacking stuff right away. CK would have a bad time connecting systems and stuff, so I lessen the work by installing the computer myself (also fixed some of my colleagues' too). The new office looked really cool... the orange accents, the layout, the glass, the pantry... it was more office-like, but it lacked the space of the old office (not to mention no makan table to place food). But I had a wonderful tall grey wall (perfect for posters) which had a lil window...
and I tried placing the cpu on the floor but it overheated right away (as usual) so I decided to place it on the desk, hence reducing the already limited space available... All's well after a few hours, and those who were done went back home 1st (those who stayed had some chit chat 1st before doing the same thing). It was noisy and full of excitement... Even our boss came to help out. It was quite fun~! The new place had it's share of pros and cons (RM90 parking!), but overall it should be a good place to work... easier to get to work (but not when getting back), lotsa places to makan, shopping places nearby, bank around the corner... Trip to Miri
Went to Miri to visit my 2 best buddies Chong and Boonie~ It was quite an experience, my 3rd time going there, this time with Air Asia's free ticket promotion... yeah, free air tickets! Well, you stull have to pay for the fuel and airport tax. My 1st time flying in an Airbus, the newly-purchased Airbus A320... big, comfy... I was so super-hyped for it, especially after hoping I'd get into one. But I must say that in comparison, the Boeing 737 still rocks... In terms of sound and gravity-producing speed, it's a lot more fun in a 737. Anyway, spent 3 days there, did a lot of sightseeing, makan, fishing, makan, shopping, makan and going to the beach... Did I mention makan? LoL... so many choices, I loved the local food especially. Laksa Sarawak and Kway Teow Tomato were the bomb. It was really wonderful to meet Chong and Boon again after so long, we ended up talking soooo much... It was like we never got separated after graduation. Met up with Jill too, but didn't take any pix with her. Went to a lotta places like the Miri Oil Well, the beach (oooohh... gotta love the beach, the water and the sun!), fishing by the sea, sightseeing... Wish the trip was longer, but it was worth every second of it... Took tons of photos too! Fun in the Office
Okay, back to the Malaysian Today office... the next day itself I was working by the way... so I drove to the new office in my car for the first time (Saturday's moving-in didn't count) next to the lift... hehe...
and upon entering the office I saw that there was this new masthead sign thingy greeting the entrance...
"Good morning, Malaysian Today, how may I assist you?"
Oh... and there were some biscuits sponsored by Jessie in the pantry... yums...

A few days later we had to work on May day (3rd time since I've started working) and surprise, surprise... the aircond was OFF... apparently Berjaya don't switch them on during weekends and public holidays unless they were given a formal letter by the boss (well, I informed Jessie on the next "normal" working day)... so we sweated it out... my goodness it was so hot and stuffy!!! But we had a great time fooling around and I went about shooting photos too...

Okla, as you all have known, Michael Bay revealed some of the Transformers characters... (well, this IS a back-dated entry...) and they look pretty interesting...
Blackout... Formerly known as Vortex (and at one point of time, Soundwave)
(would have been the character with the most accurate alt mode as the cartoon)
Bumblebee... he's not a Beetle (darn, dammit!) but a Camaro...
(Doesn't look too bad, but means he'll be too BIG)
Frenzy... possibly the most screwed-up character in the movie...
(He's supposed to be red & black and cute)
Ironhide... looking mean like he should :)

Barricade, Brawl, Scorponok and Ratchet were not shown, maybe they'll appear later... The characters look very different, but are cool in their own way. Just think to yourself that this is not G1, but a new alternate universe and this movie WILL rock!

Fifi's Wedding
Yup... that special day has come, when dearest Fifi finally decided to tie the knot with fiancee Faris. It was an amazing night (kinda hot, but it was ok) and even if you've seen gloriously extravagant weddings, you haven't seen one of this scale... it was HUGE, the road in front of 3 houses had to give way for the seating area of the wedding. The 3-way junction in front of the school was made into a 2-way one... hehe... Fifi looked really pretty that night, like a princess... Anyways, went with my bros and Jill. Jill brought along and introduced me to a new friend, Cheryl (she's fun and cute) and we got along pretty well (I guess) and we met Ulee, LeOn, the other Farah, Ahuey, Joosing, Rio, etc... basically there were tons of people there... friends, relatives, fans, media... it was so packed with excitement. Fifi's bro Chal sang a few songs too... what a night it was... (There are TONS of photos... might upload them later)

My Self-Made CPU Ventilation System
My office computer is in pretty bad shape, with the annoying beeping (Zali solved it by disconnecting the buzzer) and overheating (no fan!) making it really, really lagging... add to the fact that the motherboard was slowly dying (it even lost all sound capabilities) and you have a really unpleasant working experience... so I decided to attach fans and create my own ventilation system for the cpu...
