Robots-Birthday-Terabithia
Decided to blog again before Jill complains over the lack of updates... (I'm sure it has crossed her mind already) hehehe... been rather busy lately, having not much time to myself, not to mention the computer's out of order, so I have to rely on the one in the office for the time being... Most of the time, it's also caused by the lack of mood in writing... :p
New Transformers Posters
Dreamworks and Paramount had just recently released 2 new posters and a giant sheet from their upcoming movie Transformers, and I admit it looks wicked! Depicting Optimus Prime and Megatron facing face-to-face as if they're about to go wrestling, it says "choose your side, to protect, or to destroy...". Ooh I can't wait for this movie... Golden Screen Cinema's website states that it's due in June, and not July 4th like in the US... so that's just AWESOME news!!!
Transformers TV Trailers
A couple of days after that and they also came out with the 1st TV trailers... There are 2 trailers, they're really short but totally wicked!!! Here we get clearer glimpses of transformation sequences as well as quite a lot of new footage...

Myn's B'day @ Baskins
Surprised the lil pudding with a lil birthday do at Baskin Robbins @ Mont Kiara. Her sis made a sudden change of plans and the idea was to make it seem as if we all can't make time for her special day. So the poor b'day gurl was pretty sad right before the surprise... but how quick that changed after that. Hehe...Fifi got a nice big hug from her. Had ice cream cakes and soon after that it was present-opening time (boy there sure were a lot of them!)

BoA Conquers Nike 1Utama
Continuing my search for all the Nike stores with BoA ads and posters, I've landed at 1Utama, which has one of the nicest posters around. By now I've notices that no two stores have exactly the same poster, some have different sizes, while others, like the one at 1U, had one or two unique ones... Oh how I wish I could get one of them...
This one's similar to the one at MidValley
Semi-transparent poster...
With a different poster...
This is one of the most beautiful posters I've seen~
Awesome Terabithia
Watched "Bridge to Terabithia" recently, and I must say it is definitely one of the best movies this year so far... Beautiful storyline (based on the much-loved book btw), excellent acting (the best roles were played by kids!) and beautiful CGi (by Weta Studios of LOTR, King Kong and The Host fame) combine to create a Disney Marvel that will touch your heart... and I mean REALLY touch your heart... I cried so much during this movie (perhaps more than I have in any other movie!)... it's true what they say; if you leave at the end of the movie with dry eyes, you might need to have your heart checked! A heartwarming tale of friendship, family, loss and the power of children's imagination, this one caught me by surprise (yeah I've never read the book). True, the movie might start a lil slow, but soon you'll realise how it all comes together.
The story circles around a young boy, Jess Aarons (played by Josh Hutcherson from Zathura) who befriends a young girl, Leslie Burke (played by super-adorable AnnaSophia Robb from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), whom he got to know after she beat him (and all the boys) in a race. Although they had a shaky start, they eventually got along well due to their common interests (and being neighbours with similar fortunes at school), and sense of imagination. Leslie opens up a whole new world of imagination to Jess, letting him open up more than he used to. It's natural that they ended up as best friends... They later found a rope hanging near their house which swings across a stream to an area of the woods which Leslie names "Terabithia", a Secret Kingdom which in turn houses their wildest imagination (and boy what a place it turned out to be... I wanna go there too!) and adventures... a place where they are the rulers, and no-one can bully them... a place with magical creatures (Squogres, Hairy Vultures and Giant Trolls!), a dark lord and tons of adventure... this is a story of how they learn from each other, face problems together, learn about life, as well as experience how it's like to face a loss... all through a child's point of view. Jess and Leslie are really different (Jess has a big family, Leslie is the lone-child, Jess has TV, Leslie doesn't...) but when it comes to being artistic, they are very similar indeed (Jess is an artist, Leslie a writer). There are no silly jokes here (like those in typical American teen movies), and NO, this is not like Narnia or Eragon (despite what a lot of people like to assume). It's far deeper story and in my opinion, a real masterpiece... Many scenes can be considered real gems, especially the finale, which is how the story gets it's title... There are many elements which will make you ask, "is this really Disney?"... yeah it's Disney, and they actually opted to leave some darker elements of the book out... but it's definitely a good watch. So go to your nearby cinema before it's over!
(I'm gonna get myself an original DVD for my collection once it's out~)

Yeah, there are lots of AnnaSophia's shots there... dat's cos I adore her alot (she's sooo cuteee!!!), the type of girl that I'd squeeze a lot if she's my sis (she's ony a few months older than Myn!). I initially wanted to watch the movie to see how she'd act other than being naughty lil Violet who turned into a blueberry... Can't wait for her next movie, "The Reaping", in which she plays... *gulp*... a possessed child/the devil's daughter...
