I got a NEW Samsung SyncMaster 732N-Plus flatscreen!!!
WooHoo! Computing is never gonna look the same again! XD

Pete Sampras vs Roger FedererOmigosh, Sampras was in town... and Federer too! Two of my favourite tennis idols (especially Sampras, used to enjoy his matches during my schooling days, along with Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi) just performed recently here in Malaysia as part of their tennis tour or something. Too bad I didn't manage to catch them. They were in Seoul, South Korea recently.

Oh, and So Nyeo Shi Dae (SNSD) performed as an opening to their match... How cool is that?? (I would have been there in an instant if that was the case here... heehee... take leave or something). Uber-coolness~

Federer beat Sampras at South Korea and Malaysia, and I'm sure Sampras' 5-year retirement took its toll on him. After all, Federer was the reigning World Champion at the height of his game. Their final stop of the tennis tour was in Macau, and boy was I glad that Sampras won. And he did it with style... what a wonderful finish for a wonderful tour~

Frenzy!I found this chap recently... he's really uber-cool... with all the articulated joints, etc... but he's still in the box for now~

Mew Choo Stuns Aces
And in badminton, our own Mew Choo brought a huge blow to China by beating their aces, which were ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th in the world (she herself was 8th placed). And topping it all off by beating them in their country... I was waiting for her to make a wonderful comeback and boy did she do it with style.

Even though she lost in the recent Hong Kong Open, a win's a win, and Malaysians are often quick to forget an achievement once a loss comes around. Way to go gurl, keep it up!

BoA's Song Played at 1U!I was passing by the concourse area at 1U's old wing and I thought my ears were cheating me... it sounded just like Sweet Impact... and as I looked properly, there was a Fasio booth with lotsa BoA posters and a TV playing the Fasio ad which featured none other than Princess BoA herself! Woohoo! And thanks a lot to Jill who was with me at that time who went thru a tedious testing session to help me get a BoA Fasio brochure (you're so sweet!)

Okla that's all for this time, I wanted to post up a couple more stuff of interest, but I'm too lazy to process the photos... maybe later...

Lost Night

Lost Night

Suba's Wedding

My pet sis Subs just officially had a wedding. She weds hubby Theva. Haha... she looked so purdy that night, and Thevs looked so handsome. Such a sweet couple. I managed to leave the office at 5.30pm and got stuck in many different crawls before I reached Batu Caves. And boy did I get lost!!! I reached the Batu Caves temple at circa 7.30pm. And I took a left turn at the junction, and stopped at a Chinese school there (a Chinese school was one of the landmarks) but it was the wrong school! Oh my what a hectic search it was... I left the map at my office desk before I left so I'm like a lost tourist in Batu Caves. Irene texted me the address on my mobile, and chanel handbags kept referring to it at every signboard I pass by and every petrol station I stop at (about 4-5 stations). I got more and more LOST! The address states Batu 7, but I ended up at Batu 5, and later on Batu 3. And I reached many different "ulu" areas with names I've never heard of, many of them just numbers. Then I got stuck in a number of traffic jams, still lost, try every turn-off, return to the junction and try repeatedly. Soon I was on a highway where I had no idea where I was heading, other than it said "Kuantan" and "Zoo Negara". Thank God Mukhsie called and she passed to Kiru and then Subra. They all helped me reach the wedding hall. Time was 9.30pm. I was so tired... but it was my sis' wedding. I just can't miss it. There were so many people and there the guys were, Lee John, Mukhsie (mish her so much), Liang, Kiru (looking so purdy btw) and Justin + gf. In the distance at the main table I could spot Thevs from a mile away. Haha.. .he looked good in his wedding outfit. And Subs looked purdy in hers too... Wished them a happy marriage, passed them a wedding present, took group photos with the bride and groom before making a move. Thankfully I didn't get lost on the way back (although Subra called me just in case). What a night that was~

One in a Million 2

Yeah it's started! But guess what, I missed it cos I went to Subs' wedding. Ironic isn't it? But the wedding was more important, so I'll just wait for Kak Marina to post the repeat on Bluehyppo~

Laziness...

Laziness...

Aaarrgghhh.... I can't get myself to blog... I'm so lazy to do soooo..... But anyways, got myself to start, so may as well write something...

SNSD Haters

*Angry mode on*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I noticed from online sites, forums and YouTube posts that there are lotsa really nasty comments on 소녀시대 (So Nyeo Shi Dae) from anti-fans. These people are seriously immature, unethical and cruel. I mean, you've gotta be really sick to bash a group of 9 really young and cute gurls with talent. Among themselves they can sing, dance, act, DJ and so on. And all those mean messages on them being sluts, ugly, stealing boyfriends, having heavy surgery etc are so horrible and baseless! (maybe they're just jealous)

So if you are a hater, all I can say is:

SCREW YOU!

*Angry mode off*

Just had to let that out... they're really pissing me off... if you don't like them, just be quiet. You have no right to insult them.

Emo
Been really emo lately... and worst part is for no reason... sigh. Sometimes I feel so alone, working all day long, not having much free time for myself. Doing the same thing everyday till late for tapau pay... yeah worked for almost 3 years to earn enough increments to make my pay about the same as what some of my buddies actually started with... while friends say I dun care much about them anymore because I haven't been able to meet up. I don't even have enough time to socialise. I've also decided it doesn't really matter whether I find a gf or not. If it comes, it comes... Oh, and really close friends know that I can be quite flirtatious. It's not that I'm trying to be funny or anything, it's just that when I like a particular person (mind you I just like or admire, doesn't mean I'm being serious) I tend to go out of my way to spend time with her. Like Kelly for example. Still attempting to take her out for lunch. Haha... Maybe some people get me wrong it that sense. Well, the truth is, nothing changes... It's not like I get to go out with them or anything. I know I don't sound like I make sense but like BoA's song, "I Don't Give A Damn"! I'm just writing whatever nonsense that comes out of my mind right now. Oh, and Kiru said I should go to Korea and find a girlfriend there, marry her and live there. Hahaha... Aargh, this is becoming nonsense! Change topic~

Happy Birthday Fifi, Nitt
Before I forget, wishing Kak Fifi & Nitt a Happy Belated Birthday~ (dun worry, I wished them on their birthdays, which are only a day apart). Kak Fifi's 29 and Nita's 25. Wish them lotsa happiness for the coming year :)

Blood : The Last Vampire
I should've blogged on this ages ago but I forgot! Jun Ji-Hyun's biggest role to date, as Saya in the live-action version of Blood : The Last Vampire. Judging from released photos, she sure looks like she's made for the role. As much as I'm excited for her, I'm also nervous as she's gonna enter Hollywood, and you know how Hollywood stereotypes Asians... I'll try to keep my hopes up, as Universal Studios recently announced that they will be backing her up. Let's hope this movie will be big when it hits screens in 2008.

Latest pic released recently~

In other news, she's currently working on her next Korean movie, "A Man Who Was Once Superman"... Well, I think that's the closest translation :P Sounds like a rather interesting movie, which I'm sure has lotsa humor elements. She plays a girl who finds out her neighbour is Superman.

Okay, I've got other stuff to talk about but I kinda misplaced the cable for my camera... so I'm running out of topics. Have to wait till next time then~

Gifs!
Been experimenting with gifs, with the help of fellow AMBITION member Agnes, I managed to make animated avatars! Sweet stuff... these are of lovely TaeYeon~

Happy 21st Birthday BoA!

Happy 21st Birthday BoA!

Heehee... before the day is over I just had to post this entry... yeah, in case you didn't know, it's princess BoA's 21st birthday today... She's officially an adult in the western world now (although she was considered an adult at 20 in Korea). I can't believe how fast she grew up (she started training when she was only 11!). Even more surprising was the amount of times she has reinvented herself to make things fresh. It was always fun supporting her, I have been doing so since 2004, and I hope for many years to come.

Best wishes, may you stay in the best of health, happiness and here's to a continuous bright career,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BoA!!!

In and Out

Come & Gone
This week we received a new addition to the MT family, a young intern named Fiona. She's friendly and bubbly. Sort of fitted in pretty quick. It was kinda nice cos we haven't had any new staff for quite a while. She was under the Marcomm department so she sat quite far from my place, but we went out together as a group for lunch once. A day after that, another intern came real early in the morning. She was a cute lil gurl, and when she introduced herself I was a lil puzzled that I mistakenly heard her name as AnYeoung. Probably due to listening too much to 소녀시대 (So Nyeo Shi Dae)'s "Into The New World", especially loving TaeYeon's wonderful "aann yeeoooouuuunnggg!!!".

LoL~ She did look vaguely Korean, hee hee... anyways, her name was Endang, and she was an Indonesian Chinese. Perhaps that's why she didn't look local. Anyways she was friendly like Fiona but a lil shy too. We went as a group for lunch that day at the corner chicken rice shop (I dunno whether it's just me but I felt the ayam that day was a lil tough... not nice!). Anyways, received a real shocker the following day after knowing that she was leaving. *Huh?* Yup, that's exactly what me and most of us at work thought. Apparently her college made a mistake or something and they were to transfer her to another company, which I heard works in shifts and has no allowance. So we had a short sad bye-bye to a girl I hardly knew. She did say she was gonna come around often as the new company was just a stone's throw from Plaza Berjaya. Hehe...

소녀시대's Debut Album Launched!
Yeah, I was so excited... so fast and they have their own debut album already! It looks real cool with a dash of hot pink and silhouettes of the 9 members on the cover. There's some crown deco and a stylish logo of the group consisting of two "G's, signifying "Girls' Generation", their offical English name. I like it how SM refrained from using their faces for the cover like almost every other new band. It's artistic and a break from the norm, and perhaps 소녀시대 want people to focus more on their singing, which they're really good at... It's self-titled by the way~

It's sad that so soon after the launch, MP3 versions of their songs were spread out online (this is especially ironic cos I first listened to their first single on MP#). Anyways, before this I thought to myself that they were a group of really talented gurls, but after reading an early interview they did in August and lots of behind-the-scenes videos, only did I realise the hardships, training and sacrifice these gurls had to go through. I admit I have a soft spot for people who work real hard to achieve their goals and dreams, a good example was BoA, who was herself a senior to the gurls. So I admire them a lot, and I decided I have to do my part to promote them and buy original stuff. It'll probably take a month or two for their album to reach our shores if they do (based on BoA's albums) but I wasn't gonna take any chances and ordered mine online... yay~

TaeYeon: Support us yea~! <3

Oh well, not much else to write, I was sick the last 2 days and now recovering slowly, so I still feel a lil dizzy at times...
